Laminated products
Material combinations for maximum surface protection — laminated or extruded with PE, PP, fleece and more.
Laminated products are used primarily as surface protection for highly sensitive goods. By combining different materials, properties such as slip resistance, moisture protection and cushioning can be specifically configured.
Coated board, paper & corrugated
We can supply corrugated or solid board as the carrier material. Besides PE-foam lamination, other laminating materials are possible:
- PE / PP (polyethylene / polypropylene)
- PE foam — additionally provides slip-resistant properties
- Fleece
- PU foam
- Various papers
- Metals, plastics and special materials
Lamination is possible both single-sided and double-sided.
Wood-fibre strips with PE film
This packaging is excellent for protecting sensitive products that need particular protection against impact and shock. The PE film used also provides reliable protection against moisture.
| Property | Value |
|---|---|
| Lamella width | approx. 30 mm |
| Lamella thickness | 3, 4 or 5 mm |
| Lamella spacing | approx. 10 mm |
| Front side | grid-reinforced PE film |
| Back side | brown kraft paper with PE film |
The papers are fully glued to the wood-fibre strips. Thanks to its design the packaging is ideal for round products:
- Rollers
- Pipes
- Roller shutters
- Coils and similar products
Frequently asked questions
When is a PE-foam lamination useful?
Whenever sensitive surfaces (e.g. lacquered or polished parts) need extra protection against friction. PE foam also adds slip resistance, reducing the risk of goods shifting during transport.
What are wood-fibre strips with PE film ideal for?
They are especially suitable for protecting round products such as rollers, pipes or roller shutters. With around 30 mm wide wood-fibre lamellae spaced ~10 mm apart, the layer adapts well to curved surfaces. The grid-reinforced PE film additionally protects against moisture.
Can laminated products be laminated on both sides?
Yes. Both single-sided and double-sided lamination are possible. With double-sided lamination the carrier material is fully protected against moisture or dirt.
Which laminating materials are possible?
Besides PE and PP we use PE foam, PU foam, fleece, various papers and, on request, special materials such as metals or plastics.
